One Night In Memphis

Tonight was one for rockabilly, country, gospel and pure 1950’s rock and roll! This high energy show took us back to a real event on December 4, 1956 when four of the biggest names in early rock and roll – Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley – gathered together for an impromptu jam session at the Legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.

We enjoyed a string of hits from these early rock and roll giants, hits like Blue Suede Shoes, Great Balls of Fire, Folsom Prison Blues and Jailhouse Rock. The nationally acclaimed cast members had an uncanny sound, look and feel of the original legends, and even the bass player was a classic. As you might expect, Elvis gave us a heart-pounding performance, but it just added to the star power of this powerful ensemble. It was a great way to wrap up our ninth year’s slate and send us forward to our Tenth Anniversary Season!
