Our TENTH ANNIVERSARY SEASON will open in grand style with Ireland’s own Celtic Angels, along with the dynamic Celtic Knight Dancers and the Trinity Band Ensemble of Dublin. What an opening night this will be!
The Celtic Angels feature some of the sweetest voices to ever grace our stage. The Celtic Knight Dancers, featuring two former lead dancers for Riverdance, perform with athletic routines that leave audiences breathless. And the Trinity Band Ensemble of Dublin will round out the show with flawless interpretations of Irish Music, and their backup of both singing and dancing is perfection.
These international stars will give us a special Opening Night in a special place, our very own Rose-mary Clausen Center. Don’t miss it!
Derik Nelson & Family
Saturday, November 9, 2019 | 7:30p
We have been looking forward to bringing this show to the Clausen Center for three years, and we finally have them. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Derik Nelson & Family’s signature sound features velvety three-part pop and folk vocal harmonies only a family group can deliver.
On this night you can expect pristine sound, a state-of-the-art light show and an integrated 20-foot display video. This innovative technical marvel is unlike any we have seen before, but you will be even more impressed by perfectly blended original vocals and thoughtful arrangements of cover songs from a variety of genres, styles and eras.
Derik Nelson & Family’s “Silk to the Ears” musicality and personal charm bond with audiences of all ages. It’s a concert experience unlike any other.
Mandy Barnett
Saturday, January 4, 2020 | 7:30p
Mandy Barnett is at the top of her game. Whether appearing at the Grand Ole Opry, on the world-famous Ryman Auditorium stage, or with the Nashville Symphony, Mandy brings glamour, flair and incredible talent to her audiences.
Ms. Barnett will perform her Heroines of Heartbreak show at the Rosemary Clausen Center. This performance will not only showcase her own spectacular style, it will also allow her to pay tribute to the music made famous by her lifelong Nashville idols, including Tammy Wynette, Dusty Springfield, Patsy Cline and more. This night will bring us the very best that Nashville has to offer, right here at home. We are proud to present someone with the star power of Mandy Barnett, and we know you will not want to miss this show!
“She is really special, and the chemistry of singing with her is just unbelievable!” – Ronnie Milsap, Legendary Artist and Performer.
The Modern Gentlemen
CANCELED! Saturday, May 2, 2020 | 7:30
Landon Beard, Todd Fornier, and brothers Brian and Brandon Brigham were all in-demand performers in their own rights prior to being brought together as a quartet by the legendary Frankie Valli.
The Gentlemen have appeared at some of the world’s most important venues, including London’s Royal Albert Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Proms in Hyde Park for 40,000 people. They have also shared the stage with the likes of The Beach Boys, Manhattan Transfer and more.
When The Modern Gentlemen step onto our stage, they will bring their charm, high energy and spot-on vocals with harmonic perfection. Their show will be the best possible way to deal with a cold Iowa winter night!
Emisunshine with Special Guest Etta May.
Saturday, March 7, 2020 | 7:30
Tonight marks another first for the Clausen Center as we present two separate and distinct headlin-ers. Etta May will open the show with her take-no-prisoners performance full of truth, irony, humor and wisdom. Winner of the prestigious American Comedy Award’s Comic of the Year, she has been hailed as the Polyester Princess and the Queen of Southern Sass.
At just 15, EmiSunshine has moved past her prodigy label to become a rising star who has captured the nation’s attention with her already substantial touring experience. Steeped in Appalachian tradition, Emi is a true vocal stylist and a throwback to earlier eras of country and bluegrass music when trendsetters like Loretta Lynn, June Carter and Hank Williams were making history.
Once you are exposed to Etta May’s humor and EmiSunshine’s musical talent, you won’t forget either one!
The Lennon Sisters
RESCHEDULED! Sunday, September 13, 2020 | 2:30p & 7:30p
As one of the most acclaimed, admired and longest performing vocal groups in popular music, the Lennon Sisters are entertainment icons. They have captivated a world-wide audience with their legendary charm and harmonies throughout a sixty year career.
After first finding fame with Lawrence Welk while still children, the Lennon Sisters have long since grown up and have enjoyed remarkable success and fame. They have performed for seven Presi-dents, appeared on virtually every broadcast variety and talk show, become Branson stars and are inductees into the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
We all know of and love the Lennon Sisters, but now we have a chance to meet them in person. We also know that we can count on them to offer an unforgettable night of entertainment and a fitting finale to the Rosemary Clausen Center’s Tenth Anniversary Season!
