We spent several years looking for a Carpenters tribute that we would want to bring to our Clausen Center audience, but without much luck. We were just about to give up when we found Helen Welch, and we knew we had our show!

Take the swing of Ella, the warm alto tones of Karen Carpenter, add some soul and cheeky British humor, and Pow! You have singer and entertainer Helen Welch. This Grammy nominated veteran of the London and Broadway stages has a way of capturing Karen Carpenter’s remarkable essence as no one else can.

Ms. Welch’s vocal styling, engaging energy and knowledge of the Carpenters will take us on a wonderfully reminiscent journey. We always feel fortunate when we can have an international star like Helen Welch grace our stage.
